Allow Hint text of field to be clickable and expand to show full hint text that was entered

Good Evening Everyone,

I am currently using a search field with hint text applied.
The issue is that the hint text is getting cut off, is there an option where I can allow the user to select the field and then see the fully expanded view showing all the hint text that has been entered.

You can style Hint text to make it smaller, if that helps?

Otherwise, you could repeat the hint text in the Tooltip area within your field - it would then display on mouseover.

Thank you for the suggestion Dave. My first thought was making it smaller.

+1 on making the text smaller so it is visible entirely without any special voodoo. I mean, this text is there to assist the user in understanding what the field is about - how useful is it if it is half hidden?
