Axure RP 8 doesn't run/open on Windows 10.0.17134.228

Tried to open the app but it doesn’t run. It didn’t give any errors, it just doesn’t want to run. Tried reinstalling, restarting but to no avail.

For those following along at home, pauldm wrote in to our help desk with this issue. It looks like the launching issue in their case was potentially caused by an issue with an installed Windows update, but has since been cleared up after additional updates and a reboot. If anyone who is usually able to launch Axure RP on Windows suddenly finds that they’re unable to launch the app, then we’d recommend checking for anything that may have been recently changed on the machine (such as new software installs or updates), and ensuring that all pending updates for the system have been installed.
