Can I Show Custom google map?

Hi I try to use custom Google map Lite and when I put the code inside inline Frame they don’t show any map, but work

when I use the same code in browser.I know how to use embedded Google map , But I would like to add some pins for

places on the map .

Any Idea for this ?

If you have a URL to the map (eg Google Maps), then make that the target of the iframe.

(You won’t be able paste code into anything in Axure)

I already did this and it’s not working .
Thank you any way.

Hm. It should work if the browser can display the content of URL. Can you upload the .rp file?

I think that Google might be preventing the map from showing up in this iframe.

If you can host your prototype on AxShare, you can make it work.

  • Add a dynamic panel to your prototype to hold the map. Call it “map.”
  • Publish to AxShare.
  • Find your project on AxShare, click the name, click “Plugins,” and create a new plugin.
  • Define a plugin that shows up in a dynamic panel called “map.” Paste the URL from Google Maps (the “embed” one; see image).
  • Add the plugin to the correct page.

That’s really weird. I can’t get any external URL to load in the target of an iframe in either 7 or 6.5!

This used to work, I’m sure. Not done it for ages mind you. Does this mean the external URL function for iframes is dead?

I don’t think so. This one works for me. Does it work for you?

you can’t just copy the URL of the map, you have to get the path created in the share module.

Copy from the https to the end, do not include the <iframe> tag. I tried this and it works.

That’s exactly what I did at first, but to no avail.

In fact, it doesn’t work for ANY URL I put in eg Google comes up blank - see attached example.

I’m on 7 vs .3145 on Mac BTW.

Yours doesn’t work for me either, but I still think it’s because Google takes countermeasures: html - How to show google.com in an iframe? - Stack Overflow

Did you try my file? It points at the Axure site.

Oh right - so it was just Google. Doh! For a moment there I thought I was going insane.

Windows 7, Axure 7.0.0.3183

It should still work based on the following article:
Embedding a Google Map into an Inline Frame in Axure (Embed in iFrame)

I tried this with no issue.

Google has changed their UI since the article went up, as shown by Rachel’s post.

If people have tried it with your file to no avail, the file could either be corrupt or there is a setting preventing you from showing the map such as “Set Hidden”.

This is likely not the case but sometimes the setting is not obvious at first. I’ve even stumped a couple Axure employees in the past with my sometimes over-complicated wireframes :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you its working just copy from https without " upto the end and remove < iframe > at the end
