The default keyboard shortcut for nudging controls has been changed with no apparent documentation that I can find. Rather than Ctrl/Cmd+Arrow key, the key combination has been changed to Shift+Arrow key. The former nudge combination now nudges the size of the selection by a single pixel in the size of the arrow key.
Is there a particular reason why this behavior was changed? It’s a daily activity, learned over the last (at least) four or five release of this product. Now, every time I want to move controls by 10px in a direction, I first try using Ctrl/Cmd+Arrow, spend a microsecond confused why nothing is moving, then remember oh yeah, they changed that key combination.
Great, I thought, maybe I can change that resize setting so that it will at least honor my nudge system setting and increase/decrease the size by 10px also. But no, so far the new shortcut will only resize by a single pixel, regardless of any setting that I am able to find.
I guess we can retrain our brains and fingers at this point (last release Axure made a similar head-scratching change with the selection modification keyboard combination). But WHY? What has been gained here?
Devs, can you please spare a thought for your users who upgrade from one version to the next? Our favorite colors disappear, keyboard combinations and default behaviors change for no apparent reason, and all of this is on top of learning the often very awesome new features that have been added. (On that note, hooray! You have finally given us the ability to define spacing between a given selection of widgets, including a spacing of zero. Thanks so much!)
Please consider including an upgrade guide for existing users letting us know what you have changed from the previous release, especially where keyboard shortcuts are concerned. You have a lot of very loyal, and sometimes (based on comments here) very frustrated long time users who would appreciate some kind of heads up when you change existing behavior.
