Fontawesome is acting strange in Axure

#1

Axure is acting strange with Fontawesome. If the text field is “too small” it does not render the font you typed in the text field.

It’s the same text in both input fields but because of the difference of the text box sizes it renders different fonts.

Also having a font that has a double name with a dash (-) between doesn’t seem to work.

“circle” works fine but “circle-notch” doesn’t register.

You should use the font size to increase the size and not the height and width

Hi rantzow,

For the circle-notch icon, can you also verify that you’re using the Solid font weight for Font Awesome 5 Free, instead of the Regular font weight?

I was able to reproduce the observed problem while Regular was selected (https://www.screencast.com/t/ZtL52mOa5).

You’ll find the circle-notch icon in the “Solid” FA collection (https://fontawesome.com/icons?d=gallery&s=solid).

Note: I also went ahead and filed the issue affecting the bath icon with our QA team.

If these kinds of errors persist, what can also help is to copy & paste the glyph directly from the icon’s main page at fontawesome.com/icons. Here’s a screenshot from the circle-notch page:

HTH!

Yes, it’s solid.

Also, I forgot to mention, it usually looks fine when I’m previewing on a web page. If you have a text field that is very slim it will not generate the correct icon in preview though.

The screenshot to the left is in Axure and the one to the right is generated in firefox
