How do I copy and paste data from a table in Numbers (or excel) into a table in Axure

Nothing fancy…

  1. I select columns and rows in Numbers (Mac)…or excel
  2. I copy them
  3. I switch to Axure
  4. I select a cell in a data table
  5. I paste
    …
    …
    I see an image with my table data in it…

what’s up with that? Can I only copy and paste table data into Axure if I do it one cell at a time?

That is how it works for Table widgets, yes. Cut & Paste cell by cell.

If you use a Repeater widget to create a “tabular layout grid” (something that looks and behaves like a Table widget, plus lots more functionality) then you can paste multiple rows and columns into the repeater dataset.
