Hi there,
Thanks so much for checking it out! I do too.
May I ask what you’re using for mobile prototypes instead?
Thanks again.
move it (or show a different panel?) when text field in focus?
Hi, Molly. It depends on the project. Most of the time I use Sketch. And very often prototyping tools in Sketch are enough to test simple designs. You don’t have all those options from Axure, but the work in Sketch is much faster.
For mobile prototypes ProtoPie is a very good choice. I am not big fan of the company, because they changed their business model lately. First I bought a perpetual license and few months later they changed pricing to be yearly or monthly subscription. Which means I should pay again every year. But the product itself is very cool. You can quite easily make prototypes that look and work almost the same as native apps.
For some simple interactions and animations Principle may be a good option too.
For websites and more complex projects I still use Axure. It was my first UX software, I have a license for version 9 and love it. But it would be great if Axure had more mobile-friendly features. I would like to use 2-3 programs, not 5. Ditching ProtoPie for example. But so far, many things in Axure are not possible or possible with more effort and time than in another software.
Thanks so much for this helpful response.
