We’ve got a couple of people who need to update Axure 8. The problem is that our IT policy means that they can’t do it without it getting all packaged up and installed remotely. This costs us more per machine than Axure cost in the first place. I thought updates usually happened internally to the program rather than having to do a fresh install? Is there anyway round this?

I assume you’re talking about the Windows version of Axure? If so, I think it uses a standard installer/updater that would be common to a lot of software. I don’t want to imply your IT department are incompetent, but I’m sure there is a way around the problem.
