Does anyone know what the plans are to support customers that still have prototypes and work in Axure 9, once Apple switches off support for legacy apps?
Upgrading to Axure 10 is not an option, as we have a set number of purchased Axure 9 licences and no upgrade path within the company to switch to subscription billing for Axure 10.
RP 9 will not be updated to run on Macs that don’t support legacy apps. It is built on a framework for running .NET that is no longer officially supported.
Axure RP 11 is the latest version and will run on Macs that disable legacy apps. Upgrading is the best option, but as you said requires a subscription. Please email us (sales@axure.com attn Victor) and we will do our best to make the upgrade work for your company. If it’s an issue of cost or the length of the subscription term or concerns about future renewals, we can try to find a solution.
We’re also planning an update to RP 11 so customers can continue to open files in read only and preview (or use the upcoming mcp server) even after your trial/subscription expires.
