Different guide sets, same page

Is there a way to have more than one set of guides per page? Also in a way that wouldn’t be visually confusing, e.g., with an easy turn on/off option for different guide sets or, at least, different colors. I’ve been working on expanding menus and didn’t want to snap elements in it to the entire-webpage guides.

Basically, Axure provides you with two types of guides: global and page, and you can customize the colors (File > Preferences > Guides.) Beyond that, you can manually create your own guides. See this recent thread for some possible approaches.

Different guidelines on different pages

Has anyone come up with a good way of having multiple guideline layouts in a single project? I have inherited a project with different grids depending on whether the page has a left or right nav… It would be ideal if I could set up masters of the guidelines but this doesn’t appear possible except if I use the vertical line tool and then hide them before showing to the client.
