Hi, today I got the first time the notification, that my filesize is too big to upload to axshare cloud. (580 vs 400). is this filesize restriction new?
I then tried to delete one page after the other and saved in between to check which pages are big and then to delete them. But all single pages had only a small amount of filesize. Which means all pages together cannot sum the total filesize. Is there a invisible cache or something else in the filesizes?
what can I do else? can I see a list of the pages or elements and how heavy they are?
I’ve had this issue too. I tried optimising all my images and deleted unnecessary elements. My prototype was for a search product, and it contained a lot of data in a repeater. I also needed a different view, which meant I had to duplicate the repeater in a dynamic panel, obviously increasing the file size. The client also required a few alternative views based on specific times of the year. The only way I could handle this was by creating a separate prototype and linking directly to it, which was messy.
I don’t know if you’re using repeaters, but they can significantly increase your file size. Ideally, Axure should increase the allowed file size or provide more tools for optimisation.
I’ve had large Axure files balloon in size because of embedded images and unused assets. It can help to review image dimensions, compress anything that’s oversized, and remove old pages or resources that are no longer used. Sometimes that alone makes a surprisingly big difference.
