I hope to add Markdown control

I hope to add Markdown control.
The editing state is Markdown syntax, and the rendered effect is displayed after editing, and the rendered effect is also displayed after generating HTML.

Axure is indeed a very good tool, but many functions are difficult to meet the needs of some current product development. If we can use Markdown to write requirements with Axure and then combine it with Axure’s prototype function, it must be a great implementation.

Hey again @icefire,

Can you provide some more insight as to how you’re using markdown in Axure RP and what kind of control you wish to have? For example, what editing state and rendered effect would you like to see in Axure RP and what is the current behavior?

I’d be happy to submit a feature request to let our product team know about this. I also let them know about your other post where linebreaks are automatically removed when pasting text and to review whether it’s a limitation by design or a bug.

Do you have this development plan now?

I am very happy to see an official person reply to this message, even though it has been almost two years. Hey, I have an idea about markdown. Maybe we can add a component, just like the current text, but we can directly double-click to edit the text inside this component. We can use markdown syntax to write, and when we exit edit mode, it automatically shows the rendered effect. Perhaps this idea can help you evaluate this feature, which would be an unparalleled functionality. I am really looking forward to it.

Totally agree, a dedicated Markdown widget would be a game-changer for documentation within Axure. Even just a simple ‘Markdown Block’ that renders on loss of focus would save so much time compared to manual styling.

That is a very practical suggestion. Having a native way to handle formatting via Markdown would significantly improve the speed of maintaining internal project documentation. It would bridge the gap between quick drafting and the final prototype presentation without needing to manually adjust widget styles for every header or list.
