I am working on a Project plan prototype with horizontal swimlanes and projects in them. Those Projects can have connections. Also those swimlanes can be collapsed and unfolded.
When i collapse a row, the dynamic panels move their content up beatifully. Only Problem is that the connector wont move along. Is there a way to stick the connector to the endpoint even though it is getting pulled up?
TL;DR: See the pics. Is there a way to do make the connector stick?
€dit: So i noticed that it prob has to do with my dynmic panels (the swinlanes including nodes). The Connector does not Really Stick to my Node as I would expect, outside the panels it “sticks”. That sucks, since i wont be able to connect those trans-panel, right?

Hi Peter,
It sounds like you’d like for your connector to move along with your dynamic panels as they’re collapsed/expanded–is this right? Connectors do have some restrictions that most regular widgets don’t have, such as not being able to be targeted by “move” actions, so there isn’t a way to dynamically move your connectors along with your dynamic panels in this case. You could try using a custom shape or another type of widget with the appearance of a connector widget and then moving that/adjusting its size according to the position of your panels. If your widgets need to move according to the positions of elements within the dynamic panels, note that dynamic panels have their individual coordinate systems.
In the meantime, I’ll go ahead and submit a feature request to our product management team for the ability to dynamically move connectors or have them stay connected to fixed points. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions, and hopefully someone is able to come up with a more elegant solution for this type of interaction!
