Problem with using mailto: in a button interaction

Hello!

I am new to Axure and am working on a project where I need a share button. Upon clicking the button, the computer’s default mail client should open. This is accomplished by putting the following code in an “Open External Link” interaction.

mailto:?subject=Subject Text & body= Body Text

This works on my computer (Windows 10, Outlook) as well as on the computers of others in my household (Windows 10, Windows Mail app) but not for my friend (Windows 10, ?).

Any idea why? According to them, nothing pops open and we’re unsure as to the cause. Any insight is appreciated.

Most likely your friend has not yet set up an internet mail client. Here is one site that shows ways to do this:
