Attached is the FontAwesome v4.4 library. I took the v4.3 library and added all the new icons. Make sure to update your local install of FontAwesome as well as your Web Fonts mapping within your prototype.
[QUOTE=Paul;26389]Hi Axurians - now that web fonts are available, I wanted to show you step by step how you can utilize Font Awesome in your Axure prototype.
For me, running Axure 7 on Win 7 with the font installed, many of the icons show as the empty boxes when I preview the wireframe in a browser. This is using any version of the library other than 3.2.1.
It looks like any icon that is not a part of the 3.2.1 library will not work for me. PITY!
But I have the font installed and when I preview I still can’t see the icons. Some yes but many in the 4.0 versions of the library do not work. Every icon in the 3.2.1 library do work.
I’m trying to use the font icon- toggle and it wont load. Some icons load just fine and some don’t. I copied pasted from the cheat-sheet and the font awesome is successfully installed on my system.
I noticed the FontAwesome is only working if the page style font in ‘Page Style’ has not been changed.
So it should be set to the default ‘Applied font’ in order to keep the FontAwesome working.
Is there another way to change the overall page font?
Have you installed the font on your local computer? You have to have the font installed locally if you want to be able to use it while working with your project.
I went to Publish > Generate HTML Files > Web Fonts and then tried the url both with and without the http:// and I’m still just getting plain boxes for every icon, even if I generate the HTML. I can, though, change the color. So I’ve got that going for me…which is nice.
ok so v4.4 appears to be exactly the same problem.
Hi there!
I created a new Axure Widget-library based on the premium “ionicons.com” icon font framework!
It contains a great variety of better icons than the good-old fontAwesome…
Also, developers are using this framework, so more chances that your icon will be used in the final product!
You can find the library,
the font itself,
the font URL
and a Download Guide down here:
Even I am facing the same problem. I am using Axure 8. The fonts render perfectly in the web browsers. But while viewing the rp in the axshare app, the alignment gets disturbed.
Please advise…someone.
I know paul is done with helping Axurians.
To clarify the alignment issue that you’re seeing in the AxShare app, is the font rendering with the wrong horizontal alignment on widgets (e.g. left aligned instead of centered) or is this more of a line spacing issue? If the line spacing is the issue, try making sure that you have a specific line spacing value set for your widgets so that it’s not blank ("–").
If that doesn’t help, then is it possible for you to attach a screenshot and sample RP file so that we can take a look at what you’re seeing to see if we can reproduce the issue? If you can’t share the file publicly but can share it privately, then feel free to email it to us at support@axure.com. Thank you!
