Montserrat WEB SAFE google font not rendering properly

I am using web safe google font MONTSERRAT and mapping it at this url

https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Montserrat:ital,wght@0,100;0,200;0,300;0,400;0,500;0,600;0,700;0,800;0,900;1,100;1,200;1,300;1,400;1,500;1,600;1,700;1,800

The trouble I am having is that upon preview and publishing and viewing the prototype on chrome the font is rendering heavier/more bold than I set the font to be.

Hey,
quickly pasted the font link in Axure (10) and looked at the generated HTML in the Chrome Dev Tools:

SemiBold seems here to be a font weight 650.
And since the CSS definition has only 500 and 600 it might pick the next larger font weight.
That’s why it might look off.
